Attached is a registration form for the 2010 DART Sharks swim team. Registration will be taken from last year’s swim team members until May 10th. Beginning May 11th registration will be open to the general public.
OPEN TO SWIMMERS THROUGH THE AGE OF 18 (AS OF JUNE 1, 2010)
To join the team, swimmers should be comfortable in the water and have basic freestyle stroke skills.
They should have completed swim lessons prior to joining the swim team.
SWIM TEAM DOES NOT TEACH A CHILD TO SWIM.
Cost: $75 per swimmer with a $10 discount for each additional swimmer in the same family.
Team suits are additional, but optional, and can be purchased through Danville Bike and Footwear. The order deadline (in order that your suit arrives by the first meet) is May 30th. We’ll be staying with the Dolphin brand as their prices are considerably lower. Expect to pay in the neighborhood of $45 for women’s and $30 for men’s suits. (Compared to $68 and $45)
PRACTICES EFFECTIVE JUNE 7th (at the Wm. E. “Bunny” Davis Pool):
Ages 10 and under will practice 8:45-9:45am, Monday-Friday
Ages 11 and over will practice 7:30-8:45am on Monday-Friday.

June 23 – Frankfort (HOME)
June 30 – Mt. Sterling (HOME)
July 7 – Paris Bourbon PCBY
July 12 - CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS AT Frankfort Country Club
Swimmers are expected to practice at least three times each week (two times if they are swimming USA). Coaches need to know of week-long absences due to vacation, camp, or illness.
Parents are needed to work the swim meets, both home and away. There will be a PARENT MEETING on Wednesday, June 2nd, 7:00pm. It is very important that all swim parents attend this meeting. We’ll meet at the Recreation Dept.
