PHYSICAL PLANT |
The Danville-Boyle Co. Public Pool opened in May 1997.
The Pool facilities consist of men's and women's bathroom/shower rooms, a
covered gazebo. Provided are picnic tables, lounge chairs, a "baby"
pool for children under age 5, playground equipment, and a full-size, 25 meter pool ranging in
depth from 3' to 12'.

CONCESSIONS & ADMISSIONS |
Food or beverages in plastic
containers may be brought into the pool area. No glass bottles or
aluminum cans are permitted. An on-site concession stand is
operational with a variety of reasonably priced snacks and drinks.
Admission fees are $3 per person, whether swimming or not. Individual
and family season passes are also available.
All children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

OPERATIONAL HOURS |
The pool is open from Memorial Day through
August 15. Hours are 1-6pm on Sundays, and 12noon-7pm Monday-Saturday.
The pool closes at 4:00pm on selected days for home swim meets.

SWIMMING LESSONS
SWIM TEAM |
Multi-session swimming lessons are offered through June & July. Classes are divided by age groups/ability level and are scheduled for mornings and evenings. Lessons are available to ages 3 through adult and are approximately $30 for the complete session.
The Parks and Recreation Department sponsors a swim team which begins sign ups in April of each year. According to Bluegrass Conference rules, only 100 swimmers can be accepted onto the team. The D.A.R.T. (Danville Area Recreational Team) "Sharks" has won 1st place in the conference for 2001, 2002, and 2003. They placed 2nd in 1999 and 2000.
